Hey guys, this is Adam. I know it has been a long time since my last article, but I will start writing again. I haven’t gone anywhere; I've been focusing on other projects and things in my life that needed attention.
The other day a guy on Facebook asked a question in a group where I'm a member. He asked "What do you guys do when you're bored?" The answers that the other guys gave were all across the board: swimming, read books, go on Facebook, drink scotch, any random thing you could imagine.
Bodybuilders know that protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats are three keys to bulking up. If you want to build and repair muscle, you need to consume large amount of protein: about 1g per 1 pound you weigh.
Cardio is very important to overall health and fitness. It has many proven benefits to your heart and brain health, such as increasing your mood through endorphins, lower blood pressure, increased blood circulation, and higher amounts of energy. But many people either skip cardio or half-ass it.
I recently did an article on the 3 best bodyweight workouts that you can do anywhere. Today I’m going to talk about my personal favorite exercises you can do at the gym. They work great for me, a 26-year-old male, but will be good for anyone.
We all know that getting to the gym can be difficult sometimes. Life gets in the way, work can be overwhelming, personal/family issues arise, it just happens. The good news is that you don’t need a gym membership, but it is highly recommended. If you don’t have a membership or just can’t make it for whatever reason, just do these workouts.
The new year has arrived and everyone is making their resolutions. I already wrote my stance on all that here so I’m not going to dig into it again. A lot of people, filled with motivation and drive, will get a gym membership. They will go religiously for a couple weeks, maybe even a month, then lose their focus. They’ll start making excuses about how they don’t have the time or energy to do it. Their gym membership will collect dust, in a sense, and it’s likely they’ll never use it.
I wanted to do something fun and different this week. I was thinking about how everyone who works out, whether they are at the gym or going for a run, enjoys listening to music. The music you listen to can say a lot about your personality or just what genres and artists you like. It’s fun to share with others what your favorite tracks are because music is something that brings people together. The amazing thing about music is how each song can make you feel a certain way. It can bring out emotions based on when you heard it or what it makes you reminisce about.
